Edward Bear Club

Now that the weather is warmer we will be meeting in the Parish Church.

We next meet in St. Mary's at 10.00am

On Friday, 10th Sept, in church.

In Chapel on Oct, 12th Nov, 10th Dec.

Edward Bear Club is well into its second season now.  It is for parents and their pre-school children to enjoy a welcoming hour of Christian stories, singing and craft activities followed by coffee squash and biscuits.  It also provides a happy social event in its own right.

Though Edward Bear is primarily for under-fives we will welcome older siblings during school holidays. (Children, just make sure you bring an adult with you!) There will be a story, songs and activities – and refreshments as well. All enquiries to Aurea Hart 01225 891453.

Edward Bear club normally meets on the 2nd Friday of the month. Doors open at 9.30am and the session is between 10 am. and 11 am. When the weather is warm enough Edward Bear Club meets in St. Mary's Church. During the cold winter months the club meets at Marshfield Chapel. We are most grateful for such a generous spirit of Christian co-operation.
We really do welcome all parents and pre-school children to our Club Meetings. Visiting parents and children are equally welcome - you just turn up. As you can see, among the helpers in February 2009 are David and Janet Spence and out of sight, Chris Hart, who also plays the piano.
Aurea Hart, Lay Minister, leads the event and other members of both Church and Chapel often come along too so that there are plenty of adults to keep an eye on the toddlers. Here the  children are making a collage of the "Burning Bush" following the story about Moses and his experiences when God was preparing him to lead the Hebrews out of Egyptian slavery.
The Fruits of Our Labours! This completed collage of the "Burning Bush"was donated to the Chapel on this occasion.
David Spence circulating with drinks for the children.
Club sessions round off with a welcome cup of coffee for the adults!
Do come along!
