At their June meeting, members of
Marshfield MU were joined by members from across the Bristol Diocese to
welcome Mrs. Cynthia Pratt, the Vice President of the MU in the USA.
After a short talk on the establishment of the MU ib that country, she
was presented with a beautiful bowl made of Pauduc a West African wood -
by John Sealy. This gift was also a link with her origins in Sierra
Leone.
During the meeting Rev. Simon Drew
was enrolled as a member by Canon Brendan Clover, the MU Chaplain. Simon
in turn enrolled Mrs. Mary Chivers and Mrs. Freda Sawyer. Following
tradition, the meeting ended with tea and (much) conversation!
